The idea
A classifieds platform is not a list of items. It is a lifecycle: something is posted, found, negotiated and retired — and every one of those transitions is a state the software has to own.
MapleMarket
The problem
Classifieds products are easy to start and hard to finish. The listing form takes an afternoon; the states around it — expiry, edit, re-publish, removal, and the search that has to stay in step with all of them — are where the work actually is.
What it does
- Publishes classified listings for the Canadian market
- Organises inventory by category, with search across listings
- Carries the account surfaces a marketplace needs in order to let people post
- Was designed and built end to end rather than assembled from a template
Key capabilities
What MapleMarket is made of.
- 01
A classifieds product
MapleMarket is a marketplace for classified listings: people publish what they are selling, and other people find it. The product covers the listing surfaces, the category structure and the search that ties them together.
- 02
Built, not assembled
Designed and engineered end to end as a BaysSystems project — product definition, interface and implementation — rather than configured from an off-the-shelf marketplace template.
- 03
Publicly accessible
The site is reachable at maplemarketapp.com. Nothing about its scale, traffic, revenue or commercial performance is claimed here, because none of that has been published.
How to read this
MapleMarket is presented here as BaysSystems project work with a publicly accessible site — not as a commercially released or production-proven product. No usage, traffic, revenue or maturity figures are claimed for it.
Availability
The MapleMarket site is publicly accessible at maplemarketapp.com. It is a BaysSystems project rather than a template or a demo, and it is described here without any release, production-maturity or commercial claim attached.
